During the outage, the Division of IT will perform a major network upgrade. The test will result in an extensive outage of IT services with the following exceptions:

  • Wired and wireless Internet access and telephone service from campus locations
  • TERPmail and UMD Google email and calendar systems for students, faculty, and staff
  • University website (however, some services accessed via the website will not be working)
  • Independent systems operated by colleges and departments in separate IT facilities
  • University Directory login services for systems operating out of college and department IT facilities
